Paul’s introduction to repairing flutes came when, as a student, he accidentally sat on a borrowed Boosey and Hawkes flute! With limited funds and no local repair service he relied on his own ingenuity to restore it to a playable condition.
After further years of practice, building his experience on many other flutes, he travelled to Vermont in the United States. There he was taught new techniques and developed new skills in flute repair and maintenance.
Since then he has steadily built up not only his flute repair practice, but also the tools and workshop equipment necessary to restore and maintain these delicate instruments.
Paul has since returned to Vermont for further training, and has now launched his new Flute Workshop in Cooks Hill, ready to service or repair your instruments.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
